Menelaus
Menelaus, king of Sparta goes by only one name as far as I know and is the son of Atreus, king of Mycenae and Aërope. During the Trojan War, which was caused by the abduction on Menelaus’ wife, Helen, Menelaus served under Agamemnon's command. Agamemnon is Menelaus’ older brother.
Some significant deeds that Menelaus is known for are his adventures home after the Trojan war as he brings home his wife Helen. Some accounts of his travels mention that he goes from Troy to Egypt searching for his real wife instead of the decoy that was put in Troy. The power/status that Menelaus has is king of Sparta. He appears in both the Illiad and the Odyssey and is one of the main characters of the story of the Trojan war. There are several cinematic examples of the Trojan war such as Troy (2004), Helen of Troy (1956), Helen of Troy (2003).
